So, things are starting to come together a week before Otakon.

My ears decided to show up which gave me a definite boost, I put them on my dad and told him he looked like a vulcan xD (lultrek). Even though they were unpainted, I just dusted them with some of my mom's blush and they came out to be my skin tone (my skin tone= white with blood underneath it. There is no such thing as tan for me, only burning and more freckles xD)

I also bought a wig for my cosplay. It's kind of derp right now, but and her mom are going to see if there's anything they can do about it. When I put it on I look like Rock Lee with a mullet xDDD;

About the days I can go:

Originally I requested Friday and Saturday off for Otakon so I could go with my cosplay partner, . The only reason I accepted the job was because they said I could have those days off. They denied Friday, of course, so I went hysterical (a few journals back or something, I forget) and put in a request off for Sunday. So, I got Sunday off, which was nice because then I could get a bunch of discount stuff when the con gets to closing. (Dregrith pointed this out)

Bad Side: I had no way to get there xDDD My parents are leaving that day for a week for a vacation and so I would be left with little options because Keaton can't go on Sunday and Dregrith said she's staying a friend's. Obviously, I wouldn't want to impose on either of them to free up time and space for me. So, I was kind of distraught and tried to find a way that I could go without being in the way. I found none, and went to dinner shift tonight with it on my mind. My friend Ray asked what was wrong and I told him the condensed version about how it was the only days I wanted off for the whole summer. Now, Ray had already been really nice to me and even came in when I was scheduled for dinner all by myself. (-angel choir-) I wanted to see if there were two people I could give my 2 shifts to, since on Friday I only had to work Breakfast and lunch. Come to find out, Ray only had to work dinner on Friday and offered to take my shifts. So, he's going to either take my Sunday off or my Tuesday, which will let me go to Otakon Friday and Saturday, and either let me spend a day with Keaton on Tuesday before Otakon or be able to stay at her house overnight after Otakon and go to church with her in the morning. Now that all of this schedule stuff is worked out, I am feeling a whole lot better.

But, I do still have to work all 3 shifts on my birthday, as well as doing banquet, which is another word for a big 4zz mo-fo-ing dinner with a ton of people and a ton of dishes. Seriously. It's bad xD So, my other dish buddy Joe asked me earlier if he could take my dinner shift so I'd have SOME sort of sanity left on my birthday. I think I'll take him up on that offer next time I see him, 1) Because that would give me a whole afternoon before Otakon to get ready and help Keaton with her costume and 2) IT'S MY 18th BIRTHDAY.

As I said before, I love these guys for the most part (xD) and now they've literally skyrocketed in my estimations.


So, I'm still kind of confused, but generally feeling much better. Sorry about all of this ranting in my journals, but I really haven't had many other ways to vent :\ The people who have cared enough to write comments and stuff I give virtual cake (non-lie) and many thanks, as well as Keaton, who has been putting up with the real-life face-to-face drama all by herself, and for that she is extremely brave (me frustrated = NO.) And on top of dealing with me emotionally, she's also been a HUGGGEE help with my costume and without her I would not be going as Linebeck next week. Even though she hasn't finished her costume yet, she went out of the way to help me with my nearly completed one just to calm my nerves. So, I want to apologize for being a butthead and angsty and BLLEARRGGHHH, and to thank her and her aunt and her mom for taking me to their house and letting me practically live there so I could get my costume done. (And screw around with the Sims xD)

And more thanks to Dregrith, who had to listen to me whine about not being able to find my ears after only having them for what, three hours? xDDDDDDDDD Which, by the way, I did find the adhesive. It fell behind the couch. She also gets thanks for the help she's going to give me with my wig, which I'm sure will be epic once it's stopped looking like a hillbilly bowl cut.

The rest of the sims will be going up soon and I'll be putting them in my scraps (my characters, at least)
